Counselling

Counselling offers a confidential, supportive space to pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing. I provide both online sessions and in-person walk-and-talk therapy, giving you the flexibility to choose the setting that feels most comfortable..

I offer counselling both online and through walk-and-talk sessions in nature, creating a space where you can feel supported and understood. My approach is warm, inclusive, and shaped around your individual needs.

I work integratively, drawing on both person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. This means we can focus on what’s happening for you right now, while also exploring how past experiences may be shaping the present.

I have a particular interest in working with athletes (including those in endurance sports and those navigating RED-S) and with neurodivergent clients, especially females with ADHD and autism. I know that every person is different, and I aim to find what works best for you rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

At the moment, I am running a waitlist while I await final confirmation from my exam board.

There’s no commitment — you’ll simply be the first to know when I have availability.

My approach

I work from an integrative perspective, combining both person-centred and psychodynamic approaches.

  • From a person-centred foundation, I prioritise empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity, creating the conditions for you to explore your experiences at your own pace.

  • From a psychodynamic perspective, I pay attention to how past relationships and unconscious patterns can influence the present, offering deeper insights into long-standing difficulties.

Bringing these approaches together allows me to be flexible and responsive — offering both a supportive space in the here-and-now, and the opportunity for deeper exploration of underlying themes.

Training and background

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Studies (University of Edinburgh, COSCA-accredited) – currently awaiting final exam board confirmation.

  • BA (Hons) Psychology with Sociology (Edinburgh Napier University).

  • Clinical placements at Health in Mind, ESMS Schools, and the West End Therapy Centre, working with a diverse range of clients and presenting issues.

Areas of interest

While I work with adults from all walks of life, I have a particular interest in:

  • including those in endurance sports and individuals navigating Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S). I support athletes in exploring identity, motivation, burnout, injury, and the complex relationship between body, mind, and performance. Alongside, navigating neurodivergence as an athlete.

    • with a particular focus on supporting females with ADHD and autism. I recognise that neurodivergence can show up differently for each person, and I take the time to understand the individual rather than assuming a one-size-fits-all approach. My aim is to respect that you may need different ways of working, and to collaborate in finding what feels most effective and supportive for you.

My ethos

Counselling with me is collaborative, inclusive, and grounded in respect. My aim is to create a safe and supportive space where you can bring your whole self: whether you are navigating life transitions, working through challenges, or simply seeking space to reflect and grow.

Fees

My fee is £70 per 60-minute counselling session.
